The primary focus at Little Lanterns is Play Therapy. However, I am professionally trained and provide therapy services for trauma processing and recovery via EMDR.
I have also received training in perinatal and postpartum mental health. I provide services to pregnant women and mothers while they adjust to the challenges of parenthood.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Processing) is a therapeutic approach that utilizes eye movements and memory recall to assist individuals in processing traumatic incidents. EMDR is recommended for individuals with PTSD, anxiety, depression, phobias, grief and loss, traumatic memories and more.
Perinatal and postpartum therapy is beneficial to pregnant women as they prepare to give birth and mothers who are struggling with their mental health. This treatment works best when a woman begins prior to giving birth and continues once baby arrives. Together, we can create a birth plan, help advocate for your care, practice setting boundaries with family/friends, and explore the warning signs of postpartum mental health disorders.
If either of the above therapeutic approaches sound beneficial to you, please reach out to me to learn more.
